Cassidy and Jay’s wedding was at Eden of East Texas in Lindale, Texas over Labor Day weekend. A client of mine has been friends with Cassidy since high school and recommended me for their wedding photographer. I’m so glad they chose to book with me! We had a wonderful time together.
Their love story:
Cassidy and Jay met at work in a dental office. They hit it off almost immediately. Once Jay decided to propose, he chose the Cinderella castle at Disney World for the occasion. What is truly special is that they went back to Disney World for their honeymoon too.
The wedding:
Both the bride & the groom and their attendants chose to get ready prior to arriving to the venue, so once they arrived, it was really just a matter of Cassidy and her bridesmaids putting their dresses on. There was pear tree outside of the house where they got dressed and it served as a backdrop for many of the portraits including a special first look with Cassidy’s dad. The groom and groomsmen even munched on some pears after their portraits. Lol.. they were a wild crew. Cassidy looked radiant in her wedding dress. A fun aspect of their wedding was that a majority of the bridesmaids were married to the groomsmen with the exception of one set. All of their kids had a special part to play in their big day as well.
A quick and lovely ceremony was followed by an exquisite sunset and portraits of the newly married couple and their dearest friends. They all danced their way in to the reception with custom songs for each couple. Following their first dance, the guests ate fajitas and then danced the night away. Cassidy had a surprise for Jay and the DJ shared that they were going to see the Dallas Cowboys play on their honeymoon. I’ll never forget the shock on his face when that was announced.
Both Cassidy and Jay love to dance and their friends do too! They had the dance floor hoppin’ all night.
