One beautiful September day in the middle of East Texas countryside, Crystalynn and Dakota were married at Charleston Sky, a lovely venue located in Cooper, Tx.
Getting Ready:
Crystalynn and her bridesmaids were all beautifully finished with hair & make-up when we arrived. They wanted photos in their matching robes and laughter ensued. So many sweet details at this wedding from the personalized corn-hole game that also acted as a guestbook to the customized Crocs the bride wore for the reception.
The mother of the bride and aunt helped Crystalynn get her dress on. Crystalynn’s bestie Katie helped with her jewelry and shoes. My second shooter Constance found the perfect glowy shaded spot where we did Crystalynn’s first look with her dad which truly were some sweet moments. Dakota didn’t want to see Crystalynn before she walked down the aisle so they did a first touch around the corner of the venue and read their handwritten vows to one another. The love those two share is so evident and sincere.
The Ceremony:
As the sun began to set, the ceremony started. Grandparents and parents were seated. Dakota walked down followed by his best man and a cute ring bearer. Everyone stood as Crystalynn and her dad made their way down the aisle. Her dad gave her hand over to the groom and the officiant opened with a prayer for a blessed union of these two souls. Vows were said, rings exchanged, kisses were given and the newly married Mr. & Mrs. Dakota Torrey made their way down the aisle. Lots of celebrating commenced as the wedding party joined the couple. Guests entered the reception and enjoyed a delicious BBQ dinner.
The Reception:
Dakota & Crystalynn joined their guests after a slew of portraits taken with their families, wedding party & each other. They couldn’t stop smiling at one another during their first dance. The father/daughter dance was followed by a dance for all fathers and daughters. Such sweet moments and something I had never seen done at a wedding. Dakota and his mom danced afterwards. The DJ kept the party hoppin’ with all sorts of fun music. Toasts were given and cake was enjoyed. They also had a cookie and popcorn buffet which was delightful. Guests danced and laughed the night away. They also would pop in and out of the fun photo booth set up. Crystalynn and Dakota exited as ribbon streamers and bells waved in the air.
A word of thanks:
Crystalynn + Dakota, your love for one another is truly something special. It was a complete joy to photograph your beautiful day. The celebration was a perfect reflection of you both. Thank you thank you for the honor of documenting it all! Wishing you both all the best, Emilee
