We couldn’t have asked for a prettier wedding day in January. Katrina and Kaleb both got ready off site from the venue, so once we arrived, we started taking group photos. It was important to them not to see each other before the ceremony, so we had to be creative with timing of everything. Katrina stayed in an RV when she wasn’t taking photos. Everyone was bustling around decorating and setting up. The venue was bursting with industrial vibes and truly such a neat place to get married in Lindale.
Kaleb’s mom carried a hankie in her bracelet. Her baby was getting married and she carried that hankie to each of her children’s weddings. Such a special moment. Katrina’s dad beamed as he turned around and saw her in her wedding dress for the first time. They embraced and savored the time together.
Kaleb’s beloved pastor shared some words of wisdom and love to start the ceremony. The thought and care in what he said was evident. Then Katrina’s dad came up to marry them sharing stories of their lives and memories past. He did a beautiful job uniting them as one. They lit a unity candle and then a prayer was said. Finally, they were husband and wife! Woohoo! Their wedding party kept things fun and light during group photos. Then we snuck off to take pictures of Katrina and Kaleb as a married couple!
When they arrived back to reception, they wanted to give their guests an opportunity to have their photo taken with them. So guests lined up and waited their turn. All of Kaleb’s college buddies laughed and carried on when they took their photo. Katrina’s childhood best friend surprised her when he walked up the stairs to have his photo made with them. So special!
They exited to confetti being thrown in the air and it was marvelous! The joy these two share is a treasure. I hope they cling to that joy forever.
