Georgianna + Austin :: The Wedding

There was a gentle breeze as the sun shone through the clouds. It was a perfect summer day for a wedding. I met with the bride at the hair salon that morning. She smiled as she told me about how they became an item. I have known both Georgianna and Austin since high school, but they weren’t dating then. We talked about all the ways their paths crossed, yet they didn’t know that until after things were official.

The magic all began at the Wal-Mart in Gilmer, TX where Georgianna worked at the jewelry counter and Austin worked in the sporting goods department. He would go and check his returns quite often during the day, so that he could make a pit stop at the jewelry counter for a chat with the ever lovely Georgianna. With time, she began to trust him. Austin told me about how they went to the zoo with her daughter Dixie for their first date. She was just a baby then. She is now going into the 5th grade and they have added a sweet toddler boy Graham to their family also. She told me the proposal was nothing fancy. He told me she didn’t give him a choice and we laughed. I have never seen two people beam with joy the way these two did on their wedding day.

First Baptist Church was the perfect backdrop to this magical day. Everlasting Memories by Amber provided stunning bouquets and arrangements that lined the pews. The cross at the center of the stage was draped with lace and colorful flowers as well. It was a lovely ceremony with a message given by Pastor Mike Kessler. After family and wedding party photos were taken, the bride and groom joined their guests at the reception with included a beautiful cake made by Sweet Bee’s Baking Company. The groom had a tower of Oreos. Old books topped their tables along with small floral bouquets. Austin’s best man gave a toast. He shared about how Austin is a man of details. He is meticulous in all that he does and he loves and chooses Georgianna with that same intentional care. The guests then sent the happy couple off by waving ribbons with bells and they went on their way.

Georgianna & Austin, the love you both share is so evident to all who know you. I am grateful to know you both. Thanks for asking me to be a small part of this very special day! Best wishes for a wonderful life together and hope you have a great time on your honeymoon!
