Courtney and Jonah couldn’t have asked for a prettier January day for their wedding. It was a lovely way to start the new year. This past summer Jonah proposed to Courtney after they made a big batch of wine. They bottled that wine up and put labels on it for all of their important life moments. How sweet is that?! The intentionality of his proposal blew me away. Of course, “The Big Day” bottle was opened and they drank it at the reception.
The archway with all of the greenery and florals was the perfect backdrop for their wedding ceremony. Courtney did a first look with her dad that was quite special and Jonah learned how to tie his bow tie thanks to a Youtube video. Woohoo! The bride and the groom both had a wonderful time with their friends in their wedding party before the ceremony.
The ceremony began and the wedding party came shuffling in. Jonah had a huge grin spread across his face the moment he saw Courtney for the first time. I don’t blame him. She looked radiant! They exchanged vows and rings. Jason told Jonah he could kiss his bride, and the two of them walked down the aisle happily married.
I took their husband and wife photos at sunset and they were magical. They entered the reception and had dinner. Covie and his band kept the air light with lively music. They had their first dance, followed by a parents’ dance. Afterwards, they invited the wedding party to join them on the dance floor. Jonah and Courtney went around to visit with all the guests who were still at the reception. Courtney’s sister Madison and Jonah’s best friend Mason gave the speeches. Everyone toasted to a life of happiness for the new Mr. & Mrs. Kral. There was a fight til the end once the bouquet tossed, but Taylor did end up victorious. Guests danced and enjoyed their time together. The newlyweds exited to sparklers waving through the air.
Courtney and Jonah, it was an absolute honor to capture your big day. I wish you both a lifetime of happiness. I hope these photos make you smile and remember that incredible day where you two became one. With love, Emilee
