Jordan and Luke met as kids and then in high school, their love story began. It was so sweet to see all the photos of them as they’ve practically grown up together. This wedding was FULL of color and I absolutely loved it! The bridesmaids dresses were lace in all different colors and the bouquets to accompany them were equally colorful. The groomsmen had ties that coordinated with each dress. Jordan wove a wildflower theme throughout their entire wedding day including Luke’s tie, her shoes, her flower crown and the wildflower seed packet wedding favors. The cake even had dried wildflowers on it! They used vinyl records as the guest book and Jordan’s friend Payson documented the day with her polaroid camera as well.
Jordan wore a necklace with her grandmother and great grandmother’s wedding ring diamonds in it and a beloved bracelet in memory and honor of another grandmother. Luke’s wedding ring belonged to his great grandfather and was given to him by his Nanny. His nanny also made his favorite cake, Italian Cream, as his groom’s cake. Jordan had her nails done in a starburst design to match Luke’s ring. Simply stunning!
Jordan had previously worked for a newspaper and created a newspaper themed itinerary that also shared their love story. It was an adorable reception detail. Their beautiful husky Ellie was an integral part of their wedding from bridals to getting ready to portraits and even the ceremony. I loved seeing Ellie smiling at them during the ceremony. Jordan and Luke had their bible & psychology teacher from Kilgore High marry them. It was fun to hear him share stories of each of them in high school. Jordan and Luke watered a bonsai tree at the end of their ceremony to symbolize the own nurturing they plan to prioritize in their marriage.
Toasts were given, cake was cut and then an epic reception dance party ensued with her sister’s brother in law as the DJ. The energy in that room was contagious. So much fun and laughter filled the air. They ended the night with a sparkler exit surrounded by their family and friends.
A word of thanks:
Jordan and Luke, Thank you for asking me to document this special day. It was truly an honor and I loved seeing all the meaningful details you incorporated into this day. It is evident you are both incredibly loved by your people and joy filled the room that day. Wishing you both all the happiness this world has to offer, Emilee
