Kelsey and Louis tied the knot on November 5th, 2022 at Firehouse 9 Farm in Gilmer, TX. The night before their wedding some scary tornados came through, but you would’ve never known that on their beautiful wedding day. The weather was absolute perfection. The guys got ready in a RV outside while the girls finished final touches on hair and makeup. All of Kelsey’s best girl friends helped her put her dress on and it was so incredibly special.
The wedding party headed to a beautiful location on the property with an incredible tree that we used as a backdrop for all of their wedding portraits. Louis’ best friend surprised him with a first look that will forever be a core memory for them both. Then Louis finally was able to see his radiant bride and judging by the tears in his eyes, this was the moment he had been looking forward to all day. They exchanged letters earlier in the day and he kept her letter to him in his cowboy hat. Their wedding party was full of personality making all the photos a blast.
The bride’s father passed away earlier this year and his best friend walked Kelsey down the aisle and danced with her at the reception. It was bittersweet and her dad was certainly missed at this wedding. I imagine he was smiling down on his sweet daughter on her wedding day.
During the ceremony, the officiant shared kind words to the couple encouraging them in the days and years ahead. Both the bride and groom were beaming ear to ear as their marriage became official.
The reception was a perfect reflection of the bride and groom. Full of fun and laughter. Firehouse 9 Farm catered an incredible BBQ meal. The bride and groom shared their first dance and then Louis danced with his mom. Everyone in attendance shared a moment of remembrance for Kelsey’s father. Then she danced with her dad’s best friend. After dinner, speeches were given and tears were shed. Cake was cut and icing smeared across 2 giggly faces. Then it was time for the garter toss and Louis entertained all with his dance before and after. Guests joined in the dancing and a great time was had by all. The newly married couple exited through sparklers waving in the air.
Kelsey and Louis, Thank you for the honor of documenting this precious day! It was a joy to meet you both and see how special this day was for y’all! Wishing you both all the happiness this world has to offer, Emilee
