Dearest Allie Jo,
You have been around the sun once. Hooray! What a gift you are to us! You changed our world just before the world itself changed. Having a newborn in the middle of a pandemic is not for the faint of heart. But we are grateful for the slower pace and the ability to soak up all the snuggles with you. Your personality is starting to show and I think we are in for a wild ride. You love to eat. It makes you so happy! Your brother is your favorite. He can always make you giggle and I’m sure y’all will get into all sorts of shenanigans together very soon.. We are praying big prayers for you and that you’ll be a world changer for the Lord one day. You love Mickey and Elmo. I was so thankful for the Elmo song when I forgot your pacifier this morning. Although you rarely smile for me when I try taking your photo, you gladly give your smiles to your daddy. I’d say y’all are both pretty smitten with each other. You absolutely love being outside. Going on walks, swinging, hanging out in the sandbox… they’re all your favorite. We love watching you discover joy around every turn. May you never lose your wonder. Looking forward to officially celebrating your first year in a few weeks! We can’t wait to see who you will become. Until then, may you always remember:
