Emily + John // Bridge 281 in Longview, TX

Emily was one of my first teacher friends when we both start teaching at Gilmer Elementary 13 years ago. I remember her talking about a someday wedding and it was really fun to be able to be there for her beautiful wedding day a few weeks ago. They got married on his parents’ wedding anniversary, November 19th. She walked down the aisle to an instrumental version of her parents’ wedding song, “We’ve Only Just Begun” by The Carpenters.

Emily and John’s families have been friends for the longest of time. But it was only in the past few years that they began dating and fell in love. The ceremony was intimate and shared with their closest family and friends. The trees behind the venue were perfect for treasured photographs. The love these two shared was quite special and you could see in the way they looked into each other’s eyes, that this love was deep.

John’s sister, also Emily’s best friend, married the 2 of them. Emily was escorted by her nephews. A reception followed where guests munched on an array of delicious snacks. Smells of incredible coffee filled the air and that is when I realized it was beyond brilliant for them to get married at a coffee shop.

John & Emily, wishing you both all the happiness this world has to offer and cheering y’all on in all that you do! Thanks for letting me photograph your big day. It was truly an honor!

With love, Emilee
